Mocasa Wellness Center is a clinical research facility committed to supporting the medical device, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries to pursue new diagnostic techniques and treatments to improve patient wellness.
Each of our physicians and nurse practitioners is certified by the Good Clinical Practice for Research (CITI Program), and we encourage participation from patients of all ages and ethnicities from South Florida.
Who We Are
Lisbeth Sanchez, CRC, RPT, President
Lisbeth Sanchez is a Registered Pharmacy Technician with more than 5 years of experience in the research industry. She's CPR and AED-certified, and she holds a Good Clinical Practice for Research (GCP) certification. In 2016, Lisbeth founded the Mocasa Wellness Center with her team of medical professionals.
Armando Perez, MD
Dr. Armando Perez, the medical director at Mocasa Wellness Center, has more than 30 years of experience in the medical profession and over 20 years of experience conducting clinical research studies (Phases II-IV). He is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, holds numerous certifications and licenses, such as the Good Clinical Practice for Research (CITI Program), and is a certified provider of PRP Lift and Venus Freeze Concept. Dr. Perez recently received the Jackson Memorial Hospital Professional Excellence Award.
Jesse Z. Shaw, DO
Dr. Jesse Shaw has over 10 years of experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in the treatment of pain-associated diseases. He's an IATA and NIH-certified physician, a member of the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and holds a Certificate of Good Clinical Practice for Research (CITI Program). Dr. Shaw holds a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine.
Felix M. Ramirez, DO
Dr. Felix Ramirez is a Florida-licensed Osteopathic Physician with over 20 years of experience working in numerous hospitals and clinics in South Florida, specializing in pain management and anesthesiology. He's a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine, and he's officially certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the Good Clinical Practice for Research (CITI Program). Dr. Ramirez acquired his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently Rutgers University).
Lisandy Aleman, ARNP
Lisandy Aleman is our Registered Nurse Practitioner with more than 5 years of experience in orthopedics, pain management, and family medicine. He's a member of the American Nursing Association (ANA) and the Florida Nurses Association (FNA), and he holds numerous certifications and licenses, including ONCB (Orthopedic Nurse Certification Board), Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC/AANP), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Exam), and GCP for Research (CITI Program). He has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami Dade College and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Barry University.
Dayami Venereo, Board-Certified FNP, ARNP
Dedicated and compassionate Cosmetic Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in aesthetic treatments, patient care, and advanced cosmetic procedures. Skilled in administering Botox, dermal fillers, laser therapies, smart liposuction , hair transplant and other facial rejuvenation treatments. Adept at assessing patients’ needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and ensuring optimal results in a safe and ethical manner. Strong background in nursing, with a focus on enhancing patients’ self-esteem and appearance while maintaining a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Jessika Sosa, CRC, RN
Jessika Sosa is a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) with over 5 years of experience in the clinical research industry. Jessika is also now a registered nurse and just graduated in May from Universal Career School. She is GCP for Research (CITI PROGRAM) and IATA-certified and holds an Associate in Science from Universal Career School. Currently enrolled in the nursing program, Jessika will receive her RN degree in 2021.

Yolanda Abreu is a licensed Esthetician and Laser Technician dedicated to helping clients achieve their skincare goals with expertise and passion. Originally from Venezuela, Yolanda relocated to Miami, Florida, in 2016 to pursue her dreams in the beauty and wellness industry. She earned her Skin Care Specialist license at LaBelle Beauty School in 2017 and expanded her skills by becoming a certified Laser Technician through the Florida Medical & Aesthetic International School.
